But Darling, Save The Last Dance For Me

Ok, so you've heard of the ever popular "first dance" at weddings...but what's the "last dance"? The last dance is the final song of the night at your celebration, danced by the bride & groom. While it used to be traditional for the bride & groom to leave the reception early, that is seldom the case any more. In fact quite often nowadays the bride & the groom are the last ones standing. And why not? They've planned and dreamed of this party for months...might as well enjoy every second!

The last dance can be an upbeat number to end your wedding on a high or a slow, romantic tune to steady the mood...whatever feels right and true to you. It's important that you choose a song that reflects who you are as a couple. But why do a last dance when there's already a first dance option? Here are a few reasons why this new trend is picking up steam:

1. It's a great way to bring the focus of the party back to the reason for it: YOU, the bride & the groom.

2. It creates a smooth transition from reception to exit - no guests left loitering on the dance floor after the music's stopped and it's time to go.

3. It's your last chance to surprise your guests with something they maybe weren't expecting.

4. If you're torn between doing a fast or slow song for your first dance, this gives you the option to do both! One at the beginning and one at the end.

So if you love to dance, join in on this new fad. We don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon.
